End-to-end fulfilment services proving to be cost effective
One of the world’s leading social science universities, The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), approached Asendia looking for mail fulfilment and distribution solutions. With Asendia providing an end-to-end fulfilment service for the universities prospectuses, magazines, brochures and mailings they managed to find a cost effective solution, due to our low international postal prices.
The LSE is one of the foremost social science universities in the world. It was founded in 1895 by Beatrice and Sidney Webb “for the betterment of society”. Today it has an international intake and an outstanding global reputation, with 16 LSE staff and alumni being Nobel Prize winners. Its research and teaching span the full breadth of the social sciences, from economics, politics and law to sociology, anthropology, accounting and finance.
The LSE first came to Asendia in 2006. The university required:
- Weekly fulfilment on request and annual fulfilment of university prospectuses
- Alumni magazine mailings to 51,000 addresses worldwide and 35,000 in the UK
- Annual Fund mailings to 21,000 addresses worldwide, consisting of a letter postcard, BRE and outer envelope, all printed and supplied by Asendia
- Reunion brochure mailings to 15,000 UK and 24,000 international addresses, consisting of invitations in C5 envelopes
Asendia supplied a complete service for the university from printing to inserting and address labelling to posting at its 40,000 sq. ft., ISO 9001-accredited mailing fulfilment centre in Bedford. We provided a 2 day UK postal service up to 10% cheaper than Mailsort 2 and, sometimes, even competed with Mailsort 3. As well as UK mail, we provided direct entry services into Europe with some of the lowest international postal prices.
The university found a complete end-to-end fulfilment service at Asendia. As the second largest postal operator in Europe, Asendia was able to offer volume discounts on the postage rates, even on less common international destinations.
