United States of America – Update on Hurricane Florence

02 octobre, 2018

United States Postal Service (USPS) wishes to inform the designated operators of UPU member countries that, while  Hurricane Florence has now passed, the flooding crisis remains.

Hurricane Florence, which made landfall in North Carolina as a hurricane on 14 September 2018, has left behind a wide path of destruction. Residents across the Carolinas continue to deal with historic levels of flooding.

USPS's  top priority is the safety of its customers and employees. Operations are still suspended at many post offices in the Carolinas, and deliveries and other services have been affected.

For information about impacts, please refer to the USPS Service Alerts available at http://about.usps.com/news/service-alerts/welcome.htm (under "Residential customers", click "Service disruption alerts".

USPS thanks all designated operators for their understanding.
